Minnesota voters can request an absentee ballot any time before
Election Day

• However, we encourage you to apply for an absentee ballot as soon as possible to ensure time to return your ballot prior to Election Day.
• To request an absentee ballot, visit https://mnvotes.sos.mn.gov/abrequest/index and enter your county, city/zip code, house number, street, and hit “Next”.
• Confirm your mailing address or enter an alternative address where you’d like to receive your absentee ballot and hit “Next”.
• Enter name, date of birth, and either your MN driver’s license or state ID card number or the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
• Confirm your application and you will receive an absentee ballot to vote before Election Day.
